We're big fans of this area - particularly Aberdyfi and the inland area that sits just behind the coast.

Aberdyfi (Aberdovey) 4 miles of wonderful sandy beach, sand dunes, jetty, pubs, restaurants and a championship golf course.

Tal-y-Llyn is a tranquil lake about 7 miles inland from Tywyn. There's a hotel offering food and cream teas overlooking the lake in addition to a pub and a 5 star B&B (The Old Vicarage). There is a footpath that takes you up the hillside and around one side of the lake with amazing views.

Dolgoch Falls is between Tywyn and Tal-y-Llyn and has a generously sized car park. Take a walk up to the top and enjoy some beautiful scenery. You can also access the steam railway from here.

Corris has a craft centre with various artisan shops and includes "King Arthur's Labyrinth" which takes you down into the old slate mines. Plenty of parking and a good place to go on a rainy day.

Bearded Lake is a great walk starting behind Aberdyfi and following the line of the Dyfi Estuary inland. The views are stunning and the walk will take you around 40 minutes each way.
